Build-up Times
When can I set up my stand?

NB: To allow completion of carpet laying and shell construction, please do not arrive for build-up before the stipulated times except by prior arrangement. Please contact Shannon Gallagher on 021 619 902.
What if I need more time to set up?
We will have 24 hour security, so if you need to stay later during build-up, please come to the Show Information Desk and sign into the security log book, or contact Shannon Gallagher on 021 619 902.
Breakdown Times
When can I start breaking down?
Break-Down will commence at 6.15pm on Sunday 4September, once ALL visitors have cleared from the show. If you have special requirements please contact Shannon Gallagher on 021 619 902 prior to show break-down.
What if I need to leave early?
There must be someone on your stand until the show closes on Sunday 4 September at 6pm – NO EXCEPTIONS! The visitors have paid to come and see you so please ensure that your stand is staffed until the show officially closes.
What if I need more time than the Break-Down schedule allows?
If you need to stay longer than 8.30pm on Sunday 12 September to move out items please come to the Show Information desk prior to 8.30pm to sign the security log book. The venue must be completely cleared by 5pm Monday 5 September.
Exhibitor Badges
How do I organise name badges for the staff working on my stand?
You will need to enter the names of all staff working at the show online at www.aucklandhomeshow.co.nz/securitypasses prior to 1 August 2011.
You will be permitted to enter a maximum of 10 names. Please contact Shannon Gallagher on 09 976 8307 or 021 619 902 if you have any problems or require additional badges for your staff working at the show. All staff MUST wear a name badge to be allowed entry into the show. Any badges submitted after the deadline will incur a $5 charge per badge.
Can I give my exhibitor badge to my colleague?
NO! Your security badge must be under your own name to be valid. Our security guards will randomly check your security pass against your personal ID, and they MUST match!
Will they be sent out prior to the show?
NO – the badges will be available for collection from the Show Information Desk during build-up, if you are needing to make alternative arrangements please contact Shannon Gallagher on 09 976 83 07 or 021 619 902.
Why do I have to wear one?
Your exhibitor badge provides you with access to your stand one hour before show opens. If you are not wearing your badge you cannot gain entry to the halls before the show opens and if you arrive during show hours without your badge you will be required to pay the entry price to get in and we will not refund the entry cost.
What do I do if I have lost my badge?
Go to the Show Information Desk and we will print the required badges. Please be aware however that there is a $5 charge per badge for all badges made at the show.

What information do I need to supply about my company for visitors at the show?
For the nominal fee of $25 + GST, every exhibitor is entitled to one listing per stand in the Auckland Home Show 2011 Show Guide. Enter your details here www.aucklandhomeshow.co.nz/showguide prior to the deadline 1 August 2011.

How many lights and power points do I have on my stand?
All outdoor stands are supplied with 1 x powerpoint unless otherwise specified on your contract.
All other stands - The allocation of the power and lights are based on the size of your stand.
Where can I order extra lighting and power?
This can be ordered through Show Light and Power. Please make sure that you pre order your requirements, directly with Show Light & Power Please note that you will be charged directly from Show Light & Power for any additional items.

Can I get extra lighting and/or Power at the show?
Show Light & Power will be available during build-up of the show. Make sure that you get your additional requirements during show build-up or through pre-order before the show as this service will not be available once the show opens.
Where can I get extra panels or carpet?
Extra panels and carpet are available from Displayworks. Please make sure that you pre-order your requirements, directly with Displayworks. Please note that you will be charged directly from Displayworks for any additional requirements.

Can I change the colour of my panels or carpet?
Yes you can but there is a small fee for this service. You will need to complete either the Panel or Carpet change out form and send this directly to Displayworks. Please note that changes may not be available at the show unless previously ordered.

What is the thickness of the panels?
Corinthian coal panels are 45mm thick, Corinthian black panels (only in Hall 9) are 35mm thick.
What is the height of my panels?
The panels are all 2.3m high, if you are planning to custom build your stand, all stands above panel height will need to contact Shannon Gallagher on 09 9768307 or 021 619 902 in which to discuss Council Permits.
Can I nail and screw items to the panels?
NO! Please do not screw or nail items to the panels. This would be considered damage and you would be charged for any damage to the panels. Hooks can be purchased from Displayworks (Carpet and Walling systems) that will allow you to hang items to them. If in doubt talk to Displayworks representative. (Displayworks contact details »)
Can I cut the carpet?
No – Absolutely not! You will be charged of the cost of the new carpet if the carpet is damaged. If you would like your carpet tiles removed, please contact Shannon Gallagher on 09 976 8307 or 021 619 902 prior to show days.

What time can I get in to prepare my stand each day during show days?
Access is allowed to exhibitors at 9am, one hour prior to show opening. You must wear your exhibitor badge to be granted entry into the venue.
You will need to come to the Show Information Desk and advise them that you require access to your stand prior to 9am during show days. It must be logged in our security log book for early access each day; otherwise you will not be permitted into the halls until 9am. Alternatively you can arrange this with Shannon Gallagher on 021 619 902 prior to show days.
Do I need a Car Park Pass to park during show days?
You will need your exhibitor badge AND Car Pass to gain entry to the car park. Please note that this is on a first come first served basis. As spaces are limited, your car pass does not guarantee you entry. Your allocated Car Pass will be in with your exhibitor badges, which you COLLECT during show build-up from the Show Information Desk located in the main foyer.
Please note that the allocation of the Car Pass is allocated by the size of your stand at the show. Car passes are only valid at the ASB Showgrounds through Gate B and are strictly limited and no extras will be issued.
Where can I park during Show Days?
Parking for exhibitors – No Exhibitor Badge & No Car Pass, No Entry.

Parking for exhibitors during show days will be at the top of Arena Car Park (entrance through Gate B) You will need your Exhibitor Badge AND Car Pass to gain free entry into the car park. Please note that this is on a first come first served basis. Your allocated Car Pass will be in with your Exhibitor Badges, which you COLLECT during the Build-Up days from the Show Information Desk, located in the main foyer.
Please note that the allocation of the Car Pass is allocated by the size of your stand at the show. Car passes are only valid at the ASB Showgrounds through Gate B and are strictly limited and no extras will be issued.
Alternatively, Alexandra Car Park is available to all our exhibitors & visitors. Please note that Alexandra Car Park is run independently and therefore a $6 charge applies. Also Wilson Parking across the road from the showgrounds is available on the weekends, a $5 Charge applies. (cash only)
Where can I store empty boxes or other items?
We have limited storage facilities onsite. Please enquire at the Show Information Desk for locations.
Eftpos / Internet Or Phone Lines?
How can I get eftpos on my stand?
Eftpos is available from Eftpos Technologies – this must be ordered prior to the event.
