Sett is a reconfigurable modular kitchen system designed and manufactured in New Zealand that combines the beauty and durability of 100% New Zealand solid timber with a functional design aesthetic to suit any space and budget. The system’s design allows users to create practical cabinetry arrangements to meet their needs and reflect their personal style through a creative selection of colours and materials. Sustainable values are a key focus, particularly demonstrated through material choices, product life cycle and fabrication.
Sett is a collaborative venture between designers Sajeev Ruthramoorthy and Patrick Loo. With broad experience within residential and commercial architecture, they have recognised the need for a cost-effective kitchen system that is accessible to both end-consumers and specifiers for the home and workplace. Driving them is the belief that well designed, good quality products should be accessible to everyone.
Sett has joined forces with Robert Stone and Lundia New Zealand as technical partner and manufacturer of the Sett kitchen system. As a trusted local brand with over 50 years expertise in producing modular timber furniture, Lundia was an obvious collaborator to help bring the Sett vision to life. Respect for the planet is central to their philosophy and Lundia’s latest manufacturing techniques coupled with a robust recycling, reuse and minimum wastage policy has reduced its own land fill contribution by 80%.
The team are excited to launch the Sett kitchen system at this year’s Auckland Home Show and introduce a new perspective on kitchens.
