This is your opportunity to meet the experts and discuss all facets of re-modelling, extending or renovating your home with expert consultant Shane Drury, architect Jann Hurley, interior designer Nicola Manning and builder Joel MacReadie.

MDG Renovations is proud to present the ‘Ask the Building and Renovation Experts‘ consultation area at the Auckland Home Show.

The entire Dream Team will be making their skills available free of charge on the Ask the Renovation Experts stand 204 in Hall 2 – every day at the Home Show between 1.30pm – 3.30pm.  They will be offering advice, ideas and direction and will be able to answer all your questions to ensure you have a successful renovation from the get go.

Consultations will be given on a first-come-first-served basis, so make sure you bring your plans, ideas and questions along with you to get all the right advice from the experts.

Meet the Renovation Dream Team

Shane Drury leads our Ask the Renovation Experts Team this year and he comes at it from a completely fresh approach.

Shane launched MDG (Macreadie Drury Group) after identifying a need for a new kind of high-end project management in New Zealand. His belief was that to achieve a dream renovation in today’s complicated regulatory marketplace, a dream team was required.

So, with that in mind he built his team, with builder Joel Macreadie for MDG Renovations, Architect Jann Hurley and interior designer, kitchens and bathrooms specialist Nicola Manning from NM Design.

Why the fresh approach?  With direct experience in the construction and development sector, coupled with 17 years with the New Zealand Police including project management, Shane was always going to see things differently.

“My role is, talk the technical and take it to the layman, so that everyone knows what is happening, the implications and the potential costs.

“The shortage of skills and contractors is pushing costs through the roof and we’re constantly grappling with that. The best conversation with the client is the first one, where you ask ‘how much are you prepared to spend to complete this project?’”
